We place donor and indoor antennas to reduce oscillation and let automatic gain control (AGC) do its job. We do not promise magic bars where outdoor RF is not there. Measure outside first — dead outdoor cell is a coverage problem, not a missing amp.

Automatic gain control reduces boost when the amp hears its own output or when outdoor signal is already strong. Separation and isolation keep AGC from slamming gain to the floor.
If outdoor and indoor antennas are too close, the amplifier picks up its own output and re-amplifies it. The system detects that and cuts gain — performance collapses.
Placement and signal optimization — not “guaranteed bars” in a dead canyon. Outdoor RF and clear sightlines still win.
Roof real estate is finite. Separate weBoost donor antennas from Starlink and Peplink cellular antennas. Crowding one corner creates interference that looks like bad firmware.
Kit unpack, app setup, temporary placement tests on a site with known weak signal — if you already have a fused power path and will not drill new penetrations.
Permanent roof donor mount, sealed penetrations, clean coax routes, oscillation that will not clear, or you want the booster designed alongside Starlink/Peplink on the same roof.
Stand outside the coach with the phone on the carrier you care about. If there is nothing usable outdoors, a booster will not invent it.
If outside is usable and inside is dead, the shell is shielding you — that is the booster use case. If outside is already dead, fix coverage path (different carrier, Starlink, or relocate) first.
Point toward the usable sector when the kit supports directional donors. Omnidirectional kits still need height and clear metal clutter.
Compare before/after speed and call quality at the same outdoor site. If performance got worse, assume oscillation or donor/indoor coupling until proven otherwise.
